FAQ
Why do i need weekly pool maintenance?
Weekly cleaning is essential to keep harmful bacteria and algae out of your pool and your pool equipment. A build up of algae and bacteria can have detrimental affects on your water quality and even your health.
How long should my pool equipment run for?
It is essential to completely cycle your pool everyday. In the cooler months your pump should run 4-8 hours per day. In the hot Arizona summer months 10-12 hours per day is recommended to keep your pool in peak conditions.
What does proper pool chemistry look like?
A pool that is "balanced" has proper levels of pH, Total Alkalinity, and Calcium Hardness. These are: pH: 7.2-7.8, Total Alkalinity: 80-120 ppm, Calcium Hardness, 180-220 ppm and Cyanuric Acid (Stabilizer): 30-50 ppm. Chlorine levels should remain constant in the 1-5 ppm range.
